Sub: Notification regarding The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP)

Sir/ Madam,

With reference to above mentioned subject, this is to notify that The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) is a prestigious national award conferred by the Government of India to recognize exceptional achievements of children in various field. Instituted to honour meritorious young individuals, the award is given under six categories: Bravery, Social Service, Environment, Sports, Art & Culture and Science & Technology. Children below 18 years (as of 31st July 2026) who have demonstrated excellence and outstanding contributions in these fields are eligible to be nominated.

To ensure a broad-based selection process, nomination for PMRBP are invited from all Ministries/ Departments of the Government of India, State Governments, Union Territories and other relevant institutions. The nomination/ recommendations for PMRBP will be received only online through the Rashtriya Puraskar Portal (https://awards.gov.in) designed for this purpose.

It is therefore, requested to make concerted efforts in identifying the children whose excellence and achievements deserve to be recognized and make suitable nominations in their favour. While finalizing recommendations, the following aspects may be ensured:

  1. The recommended children are exceptionally deserving of national level award. Public service as part of their achievements is desirable.
  2. Special efforts are made to identify talented children from among girls, weaker sections. SC/ST communities and divyang persons.

The last date for online nominations/ recommendation of the PMRBP is 31st July, 2026. The cut-off date may please be strictly adhered to as nominations/ recommendations received only within 31st July, 2026, will be considered.
