can any body tell me “protection of pay” means what?
A) PAY IN PAY BAND+G.P.+DA
B) PAY IN PAY BAND+ G.P.
and also kindly give me related west bengal govt. rule/o.m. etc. supporting the answer.
because in centran govt./psu etc. the “protection of pay” means option A).June 15, 2013 at 2:38 pm #78134AnonymousInactiveRe: Can I get Pay Protection & Benefit of Counting Past Serv
Protection of pay refers to protection of Pay in Pay Band!
In central govt services pay protection is given in two ways:
(1) Protection of pay in pay band is allowed in case an employee joins a Central Govt. service from another Central/State govt. service (NOT from any PSU).
(2) For candidates joining a Central Govt. service from other Central/State Govt. PSU through OPEN COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION (only through interview and no written test is involved) their pay in PB is fixed in such a way that (Pay in PB + DP+ DA) attached to the new post in the new Central Govt. service protects the (Pay + DA) already drawn by them in Central/State PSU. However, the pay so fixed shall not be lower than the Entry Pay in the Revised Pay Structure of the new post.June 16, 2013 at 8:44 am #78137AnonymousInactiveRe: Can I get Pay Protection & Benefit of Counting Past Serv
@donyi_polo
DEAR SIR.
CAN U GIVE ME ANY DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE SUPPORTING YOUR POST.
I AGREE WITH YOU THAT THE RECRUITMENT SHOULD BE “DIRECT” IN NATURE AS RIGHTLY STATED BY YOU. BUT THE 13 TH CLAUSE OF 39 TH EDITION OF ” SWAMY’S HANDBOOK 2013 (PAGE 232) COMPLETELY OPPOSES WHAT YOU HAVE STATED AT YOUR EARLIER POST. PLEASE REFER TO THAT POINT AND EN-LIGHT ME.
HOWEVER, WHAT FORMULA THE WEST BENGAL GOVT. FOLLOWS IN THIS RESPECT ? ANY BODY PLEASE CONFIRM.
THE RULE NO. 42A(5) OF WBSR PART-I, IF READ WITH THE DEFINITION OF THE PAY AS PER SUB CLAUSES(i-iii) OF CLAUSE NO.(28) OF RULE NO.5 OF WBSR PART-I, DEPICTS THAT “PAY PROTECTION” SHOULD PROTECT THE PAY IN PAY BAND+G.P.+DA+SPECIAL PAY/PERSONAL PAY(OTHER THAN GRANTED FOR HIS/HER PERSONAL QUALIFICATION)+ETC (AS PER THE SUB CLAUSE iii OF THE SAID RULE).
IF SOME BODY HAS ANY OTHER IDEA/INTERPRETATION OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED RULES/ANY OTHER O.M. RELATED TO THIS MATTER, PLEASE EN-LIGHT ME.June 18, 2013 at 3:17 pm #78150AnonymousInactiveRe: Can I get Pay Protection & Benefit of Counting Past Serv
Thank you very much for pointing out the mistake. The term OPEN COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION involves both written test and interview. The previous post is now rectified as follows:(2) For candidates joining a Central Govt. service from other Central/State Govt. PSU
through OPEN COMPETITIVE EXAMINATIONonly through interview (and no written test is involved) their pay in PB is fixed in such a way that (Pay in PB + DP+ DA) attached to the new post in the new Central Govt. service protects the (Pay + DA) already drawn by them in Central/State PSU. However, the pay so fixed shall not be lower than the Entry Pay in the Revised Pay Structure of the new post.August 14, 2013 at 6:52 pm #78506AnonymousInactiveRe: Can I get Pay Protection & Benefit of Counting Past Serv
