Please see casual leave rule according to manual: https://wbxpress.com/topic/different-types-of-leaves/May 31, 2013 at 1:22 pm #78075AnonymousInactive6 mnths maternity leaves with full pay, from june to nov that means her official presence in the school.i mean not like without pay,it will b treated as “on duty”,her annual increment will b as usual,
then why does’nt she enjoy her own 14c.l?atleast 13 c.ls could b enjoyed by her.if someone enjoys 60 medical leaves nd joins the school,he can enjoy 14 cls not 12 cls.
can you get my point?
acc to my knowledge she can avail all 14 c.l.s coz’ she will join in dec.
friends, am i right?May 31, 2013 at 3:14 pm #78077AnonymousInactiveYes Sabita you are right. She can enjoy full 14 CL. As leave is not matter of right so for CL she has to get permission from MC. If she has good relation with MC then MC can permit her to get 14 CLs in 6 month. In our school MC don’t give permission one lady staff 14 CLs in 5 month. She was told to take rest of the CLs after joining in the month of november.

I feel sorry to contradict to the concept of “on duty” and it’s relation with annual increment. When an employee avails of recognised leaves (EL, Maternity Leave, Medical Leave, CCL, Extraordinary Leave etc.) sanctioned to him the leave period is treated as ‘off duty’ but s/he is ‘in service’. Periods of all kinds of leave other than EOL are counted for increment. However, period of EOL granted on medical certificate, civil commotion, technical/scientific studies are also counted for increment. Increased pay after notional increment will be drawn only from the day on which s/he RESUMES duty, and not from 1st July.
December 25, 2013 at 3:37 pm #79039AnonymousInactiveSHE MAY APPLY FOR CL. AS 14 CLs are allowed in a CALENDER YEAR there is no problem if she avails all 14 CLs in remaining part of the Year. But HM not MC is the competent authority to grant CL. IT IS NOT MANDATORY FOR HM TO ALLOW ALL CL applications, rather, it is his/her noble duty to economize allowing CL to the staff for the sake of WORK-CULTURE. Let it be decided by the HM. The HM is not our enemy..
