However, as per WBBSE Circular No. 8417/G dtd. 7.11.81 there is no bar on availing of Medical Leave partially or proportionately from the 2nd year of service in secondary schools.
However, as I find from the circular, it is said, medical leave cannot be claimed proportionately. Can you give me a much more recent order regarding the proportional claiming of medical leave. Also, Regarding Half Average Pay Leave, is there a rule that half average pay leave can be taken only after 4 years of service? Can anyone offer me the GO stating HPL which can be taken from the second year of service.

Pls upload the circular wherein it is stated that ML cannot be granted on proportionate basis! As regards restriction on availing of HPL for first 4 years of service, I have not seen any such G.O.!
February 16, 2013 at 5:59 pm #76947AnonymousInactivehere you posted it. But it mentions proportionate leave cannot be granted in first year of service. Is it the full circular? 8417/G?
If not could you please refer or upload the Circular 8417/G and 79-Edn.February 16, 2013 at 6:33 pm #76949AnonymousInactiveYes it is the Board’s circular wherein it is clarified at point no. 3 “Whether a staff of the school can be allowed to enjoy his/ her Medical leave partially or proportionately within his/ her first year of service in cases of new appointment on permanent/ Additional/ Deputation/ Leave Vacancy?”
Link for the full circular 8417 has already been provided in the previous post.

I know about this, but this is for the first year of service. What about subsequent years? More specifically in the second year of service.
