Subject: Updating of All Bank Accounts in SBMS Module in IFMS and Opening of Deposit Accounts

Finance Department had earlier issued Notification No. 3620-F(Y) dated 14.08.2024 mandating registration of all bank accounts of all Government and semi Government offices in the SBMS module of IFMS with some directions like:

(i) All the Administrative Departments will arrange for opening of Deposit Accounts of all parastatal bodies under their administrative control so that all such organizations can use the Deposit Account for all their operations.

(ii) All such organizations will review the funds kept in the multiple bank accounts and take steps for transferring the same to the Deposit Accounts.

(iii) All the Administrative Departments will take suitable steps on the above measures and send an “action taken report” to Finance Department through mail id sogroupt@gmail.com by 5th of September, 2024.

However, no action taken report has been received so far from the Administrative Departments. Now all the Administrative Departments are again requested for immediate compliance of the above order and for sending an action taken report to mail id sogroupt@gmail.com by 30.09.2024.
