  • Implementation of Krishak Bandhu (Assured Income) Scheme

    Government of West Bengal has introduced the Krishak Bandhu Scheme (KBS) to support farmers financially during pre-production stage to make agriculture profitable for the farmers and to provide them social security so that their families are not put to distress in the event of farmer’s untimely demise.

    They also provide support services through soil testing, soil conservation, water conservation, and seed testing/ seed certification. These bodies are also involved in plant protection and quality control of fertilisers, pesticides etc.

  • Reservation of Cold Storage Space for Potato

    Each farmer-hirer would be allowed to store up to the limit of 25 quintal only on his/ her account. The reserved space shall be allotted to the farmer-hirers on the first come first served basis.

  • Bangla Fasal Bima Yojana – Extended upto January, 2019

    The primary objective of the scheme is to provide facilities of enrolment for crop insurance to left out non-loanee farmers who could not enroll themselves on voluntary basis.
