The functions of the Finance Department are performed through 5 (five) branches, namely, Audit, Budget, Revenue, Internal Audit and Institutional Finance.

Finance

  • Principles for Movement of Schedule ‘B’ Stenographer

    Movement of Schedule-B Stenographers to higher scales as per promotion policy statement of 1981 would be treated as non-functional one and therefore provisions of Reservation Rules in respect of SC/ST etc. candidates will not apply in such cases.

  • New Purchase Policy of West Bengal Government

    For supply of articles or stores or for execution of works and services with estimated value not exceeding Rs. 10 lakh, Minimum period for submission of tender from the last date of publication is 7 days.

  • Clarification on e-Tender

    For e-Tendering for tender value of rupees fifty lakh and above, all tender related activities should be processed through the e-Tender portal by the concerned Department/Office inviting tender.

  • West Bengal Services (Training and Examination) Rules, 1953

    West Bengal Services (Training & Examination) Rules, 1953 regulates the probation and training of officers appointed on probation to IAS, IPS, West Bengal State Services, Civil Service (Executive, Judicial).

  • Creation of Posts for the System of Financial Advisers

    Financial Adviser (to be filled up by an officer in the rank of Special Secretary or Joint Secretary) has been introduced in the following six departments.

  • Fixation of Pay of Employees on Transfer/ Transfer on Promotion

    State Government employee who was posted elsewhere earlier and the Heads of Office has now changed when his pay is going to be revised under West Bengal Services (ROPA) Rules, 2009 may be allowed to exercise option to his present Head of Office.

  • West Bengal Services (Secretariat Common Cadres) Rules, 1984

    West Bengal Services (Secretariat Common Cadres) Rules shall apply to all Government employees holding, in the Secretariat Departments and Offices mentioned in the Schedule to these Rules, the posts borne in the Secretariat Common Cadres, as formed under rule 4.

  • Revised Minimum Wages to Private Security Agency

    Monthly security charges payable to such security agencies will be revised automatically based on the revised Minimum Wages as declared by Labour Department.

  • Cadres relating to Typist declared as Dying Cadre

    Typist, Clerk-cum-Typist, Typist-cum-Clerk, Typist Clerk, Clerk-Typist as the nomenclature may be, including their promotional cadre/ post of Typist declared as dying cadre.
