Daily Allowance Rates in West Bengal

Daily Allowance is a uniform allowance for each day of absence from headquarter which is intended to cover the ordinary daily charges incurred by a Govt employee in consequence of such absence while on tour.

Early Departure of Muslim Employees during RAMZAN

Muslim employees of West Bengal Government, who will be on ROJA (i.e. fasting for RAMZAN) may be permitted to leave office at 3:30 pm during the month of RAMZAN.

Casual Leave Rules

Casual Leave can not be sanctioned for more than 7 consecutive days at a time including Sundays, holidays and weekly off days except for very special circumstances to be recorded in writing.

Performance Appraisal of West Bengal Govt. Employees

To improve Performance, Efficiency, Accountability and Integrity of the employees of Govt. of West Bengal, Performance Appraisal is implemented. Group B, C and D are guided by Open Performance Report System whereas for Group A it is Annual Performance Report System.

Public Holiday on Birthday of Rabindranath Tagore, 2011

In exercise of the power conferred by the explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the Governor is pleased to declare 22nd Shrabana of Bengali Year 1418, (Monday, the 8th August, 2011) a Public Holiday in memory of Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore.

Different Types of Leaves for State Govt. Employees

Leave Rules for Govt. Employee – Leaves can not be claimed as a matter of right. Except Casual Leave and Half day Casual Leave, other leaves may be combined.

Dismissal, Removal and Suspension of Govt. Employee

Disciplinary authority issue a final order dismissing the charged officer from service. Any kind of leave may not be granted under suspension.

Service Book – Opening, Writing, Verification

Employee shall submit the duplicate service book every year for verification. After necessary entry the same will be returned to the employee. This copy may also be treated as original.

e-Payment of Salary (ePS) Scheme, 2009

Payment of salary to employees may be made through e-payment of salary scheme, 2009 i.e. ePS Scheme to ensure transparency and to avoid delay.

Pay Scale of Manager and Project Officer of Tourism Directorate

The pre-revised pay Scale No. 14 shall take effect from 01.01.1996 notionally and actually w.e.f. 01.01.2008. All other terms and conditions as laid down in the W.B.S. (ROPA) Rules, 1998 shall apply mutatis-mutandis.
