Finance

The functions of the Finance Department are performed through 5 (five) branches, namely, Audit, Budget, Revenue, Internal Audit and Institutional Finance.
  • Functions of Review Committee for Suspension of Govt. Employee

    The Review Committee shall submit a detailed report clearly stating its recommendations including variation of the amount of subsistence allowance and the reasons for arriving at such recommendations to the appointing authority concerned for considering further course of action.

  • Appointment of Group – D Post on Consolidated Remuneration

    Directly fill up maximum of 3000 vacancies of Group ‘D’ on contract basis in different departments on consolidated contractual remuneration as per the provisions in Memo. No. 9008-F(P) dt. 16.09.2011.

  • West Bengal Services (Recruitment to Clerical Cadre) Rules – Amendment

    Amendments in the West Bengal Services (Recruitment to Clerical Cadre) Rules, 2010, issued by the Finance Department Notification No. 7165-F(P), dated 01.07.2010.

  • Training on Workflow based Online File Tracking System

    A workshop will be held from 19th November 2012 to 21st November 2012 to apprise the modalities and impart necessary training towards implementation of Workflow Based Online File Tracking System (WFTS).

  • Implementation of Workflow Based Online File Tracking System

    Finance Department has introduced web-enabled application software Workflow based Online File Tracking System to track online movement of files for speedy decision making at all levels.

  • Sectional Holiday on account of Chhat Puja, 2012

    State Govt. has declared November 19 as Sectional Holiday on account of Chhat Puja for the non-Bengalees of West Bengal who actually performs this puja.

  • West Bengal Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Act, 2011

    An Act to amend the West Bengal Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2010. No. 1166-L dated 30.07.2010. No. 381-L dated 04.04.2011.

  • Workflow based online File Tracking System (WFTS)

    Workflow based online File Tracking System (WFTS) is going to be implemented within the government departments to track online movement of files for speedy decision making at all levels.

  • Medical Advance and Reimbursement – Power of Secretaries

    Secretaries shall dispose of at their level the matters of approval for Medical Advance and Medical Reimbursement cases for the State Government employees upto an amount of Rs. 2.00 lakh in each case.

  • Cost of Generic Medicines in Non-Empanelled HCO

    For treatment in non-empanelled Health Care Organisations, cost of medicines in generic names may be reimbursed in full. Trade name shall not be considered by any means.

  • National Capital Region – Health Scheme

    West Bengal Health Scheme, 2008 is applicable to the West Bengal State Government employees working in the National Capital Region and pensioners/ family pensioners of the State Government and their beneficiaries residing there.

  • Clarifications of Purchase Policy

    West Bengal Financial Rules provided for preferential treatment by way of 10% price preference to the State Government organizations vide Note-1 below sub-rule (3) of rule 47A of WBFR.

  • Utilisation Certificate for Payment made as Grants-in-Aid

    Introduction of revised standard format of ‘Utilisation Certificate’ for payment made as Grants-in-Aid to the Non-Government Bodies/Grantee Institutions.
