    Health & Family Welfare Department will operate 24×7 Health Helpline named SWASTHYA BANDHU on an outsourced basis. Patients, Patient Parties or the general public would receive two categories of services.

  • Uniform for Nursing Personnels under Health Services

    In partial modification of all previous orders in respect of the uniform prescribed for nursing personnel under the Directorate of Health Services, Govt. of West Bengal, the following specifications are prescribed as uniform for nursing personnel while on duty:

  • Enhancement of Washing Allowance of Nursing Staff

    Governor has been pleased to enhance washing allowances of Nursing Staff from Rs. 25/- (Twenty five) only per month to Rs. 150/- (One hundred and fifty) only per month in respect of washing charges of the uniform with effect from 01.08.2013.

  • Counselling at AYUSH/ Physiotherapy Colleges, 2013-14

    Prescribed application Form for counseling/ admission to Degree course in Homoeopathy (B.H.M.S), Ayurveda (B.A.M.S), Unani (B.U.M.S) and Physiotherapy (B.P.T) in different Government and Private Colleges in West Bengal, is available for download.

  • Quality Assurance Programme in 6 District Hospitals

    For the execution of the Quality Assurance Programme, the Department of Health and Family Welfare has decided to institute the Quality management System in all the six secondary level district hospitals.

    Doctors after completing their Postgraduate and Post-Doctoral Education in State Medical Teaching Institutions in West Bengal, will work in Multi-Specialty/ Super-Specialty Hospitals, Secondary & Tertiary level Hospitals in West Bengal for a period of one year to serve the rural people.
