This department has been vested with the responsibility of maintaining and developing the health care system in W.B. Public health, sanitation and hospitals are the exclusive responsibilities of the State.
The Department of H & FW has decided to observe ‘Paschim Banga Swasthya Dibas’ on 2nd August 2013 and as per desire of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, it has been decided to felicitate officers & staff of this Dept. on this day.
1. Verification of photograph and signature of the candidates as given in the applications. 2. Verification of Date of Birth and Educational qualifications from original documents. 3. Removal of conditionalities associated with parity and minimum age of mother for institutional deliveries in high performing states (HPS), and for home deliveries in all the states under Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY).
World Population Day is celebrated over a period of one month in two phase – Mobilization fort night and Population Stabilization fort night.

(a) Information regarding availability of essential service packages in State Government Run Health Facilities and (b) Assistance in availing the service packages rendered by the State Government Run Health Facilities.

Each Health Facility would have to identify Facility Manager(s) who would remain responsible for responding to each call from the Health Helpline on behalf of the Hospital Authority. S/he will also have to remain responsible for updating the static database related to availability of Hospital Services
Officers of the West Bengal Dental Education Service and West Bengal Dental Service cadre to move to pre-revised scale No. 19 (Pay Band No – 5 with Grade Pay – 8700/-) who have completed 25 years of continuous and satisfactory service with effect from – 1.12.2012.
Demographic and Evaluation Cell of State Family Welfare Bureau will compile the monthly performance report (HMIS report) under RCH by 20th of every month.
