Department of a Land & Land Reforms implements land reforms. Therefore, it is essential to upgrade its capabilities for implementation of land reforms in the interest of the landless, marginal and small farmers.
Governor is pleased to allow the various departments of the State Government and the Central Government department to go in for the direct purchase of land for public purpose.

The Revenue inspector who was in service as such on 31.12.1995 may exercise option to come under revised scale as is allowed vide F.D. Memo No. 766-F, dated 27.01.2009 w.e.f. any date between 01.01.1996 and 01.01.1997.

An Act to make better provision relating to the law of landlord and tenant in respect of certain non-agricultural tenancies in West Bengal.
