NOTIFICATION
WHEREAS it has been made to appear to the Governor that the State Government by Circular No. 398-LP, dated 02/02/2017, has revised the rate for processing fees for mutation of land by a raiyat;
AND WHEREAS it has been further made to appear to the Governor that the proposal towards exemption of processing fees for mutation of land records where land is transferred to descendants by way of intestate or testamentary succession from parents to their offspring, or by way of gift deed from parents to their offspring, has been under the consideration of the state Government for quite some time past;
NOW, THEREFORE, after careful consideration of the matter, the Governor is hereby pleased to waive, with immediate effect, the processing fees for mutation of land records where land is transferred to descendants by way of intestate or testamentary succession from parents to their offspring, or by way of gift deed from parents to their offspring for effective implementation of the provisions of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 and the rules made thereunder.
