PAR Department is mainly engaged in controlling the cadre borne in IAS, WBCS (Executive), West Bengal Secretariat Service, West General Service, West Bengal Assistants & Typists.
The Preliminary Examination will consist of only one paper, viz., a paper on “General Studies”. The paper will be of objective type consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions.

All the Departments are requested to forward the re-employment cases to Finance Department prior to issue of re-employment order after due observance of guidelines.
DAR and PG started coordinating with different Ministries and Departments of the Government and trying to eliminate the causes of public grievances.
Place of sitting West Bengal Staff Selection Commission would be Mayukh Bhavan, Sector- III, 3rd Floor, Salt Lake City, Kolkata- 700 091. Its jurisdiction is the whole of West Bengal.
It is ordered that the designated Public Information Officer of each public authority of West Bengal Government shall maintain a REGISTER in the following format to observe receipt of fee, furnishing of information to the payee etc.
