Prior Permission is mandated for Visit of State Headquarters
Field officers are visiting Kolkata on very small issues and without prior written approval of the controlling officer. Due to such frequent absence of officers from the field, the quality and timely execution of work suffers.

If it is found that roads are damaged and no action has been taken for repair, necessary disciplinary action may be taken against the errant officers.

Directorial Committee of Public Works Directorate
The committee shall act as ‘Directorial Committee’ of Public Works Directorate; The cases relating to preparation and finalization of Gradation List of Group – ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ employees;

Creation of Temporary Pandal and Dias by PWD
Henceforth PWD will not take up works related to creation of temporary pandal and dias and related works like light and sound system, CCTV installation, WiFi system, barricading etc.

Night Stay at Office by the Staff and Officers on 01.09.2015
The desirous staff and officers of Finance Department have been allowed to stay at their respective offices situated at Nabanna, Writers’ Buildings, Todi Mansion and Bikash Bhaban at the night of 1st September, 2015.

Prevention of Fire in Government Building maintain by PWD
Fire detection system will be done by PWD Electrical Wing and Fire protection system including Fire extinguisher will be done by PWD Civil wing.

Exemption of Vetting Fees for Development Authorities
Urban Development Department had requested PWD for waiving of vetting fee for checking of Plans, Estimates, tender papers, etc. as they are fully funded by State Government.
