Sub: National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement.
With reference to the subject mentioned above,the undersigned would like to inform his/her that the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt. of India has instituted an Award Called National Child Award for Exceptional abilities and who have achieved outstanding status in various fields including academics, arts, culture and sports etc. The guidelines of the said scheme are as follows:-
a) Children between age group of 4-15, years who have shown in exceptional achievement in any field like academies, arts, culture, sports,etc-, will be considered for this award.
b) There will be one gold medal alongwith cash prise of Rs. 20,000/- for one child at the National Level and one silver medal alongwith cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- for one child from each state/UT.
c) Applications in the prescribed proforma should be attached with attested copies of birth certificate, two passport size recent photographs (duly attested), press clippings/ certificates and other supporting documents as proof of achievements.
d) The applications should be recommended by State/UT Deptts, any Deptt, of Govt. of India/ District Authority, Local Self Govt (Panchayet, Zila parishad, Municipal Corporation) Experts in the field, M.L.A, Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Councils and reputed Voluntary Organisations.
e) A National Selection Committee out of cases recommended by various bodies will make selection.
f) The announced on 14th November and will be given away in New Delhi on a date and time convenient to the Ministry for Women and Child Development.
g) The child will receive the Award personally. The Ministry of Women & Child Development will pay the awardees and his/her guardian/ escort (maximum number 2) expenditure involved in travelling and daily allowances as per rule.
Hence he/she is requested to send applications of the children of age group 4-15 years of his/her district (if any) who have fulfilled the requirements for National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement,2013, alongwith above mentioned documents in the prescribed proforma enclosed herewith within 15th July, 2013 positively.
