MEMORANDUM
Different categories of Casual/ Daily Rated/ Contractual Workers covered under No. 9008-F(P) dated 16.09.2011 of Finance Department and the IT personnel brought under No. 192-IT/06/2020/P&AR-e-Gov dated 16.10.2020 of P&AR Department along with certain other categories of contractual employees like Para Teachers, SSK and MSK teachers, ASHA workers, Honorary Health Workers, Anganwari Workers, Anganwari Helpers, Civic Volunteers, Village Police Volunteers, Home Guard Volunteers, Auxiliary Fire Operators etc. (list is not exhaustive) with specific approval of Finance Department have been allowed one time terminal benefit on attaining the age of 60/65 years. The amount of such benefit has been revised from time to time through different orders/ approval of Finance Department.
2. The question of upward revision of the terminal benefit has been under active consideration of the Government for some time past.
3. Now, after careful consideration of the matter, the undersigned is directed to say that the Governor has been pleased to decide that with effect from 01.04.2024, the amount of one time terminal benefit for the contractual personnel stated in para 1 above on attaining the age of 60/65 years will be enhanced to Rs. 5.00 lakh from 2.00 lakh/ 3.00 lakh on existing terms and conditions.
4. The said benefit will be sanctioned by the concerned Head of the Department on verification of eligibility of the contractual employees without making further reference to Finance Department.
