NOTIFICATION

The Governor is pleased to set-up a State Tourism Promotion Task Force under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary to the Government of West Bengal to unlock and augment the tourism potential in the State of West Bengal with an aim to connect tourism with the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the state thereby promoting and protecting folk art, craft and folk genres, evolve other tourism narratives including but not limited to rural tourism including homestays, eco-tourism, river tourism and skill the tourism stakeholders to provide employment and seamless delivery of services to tourism sector with the following members:-

The State Tourism Promotion Task Force will meet once a month or as required to discuss matters pertaining to the following issues:-

(i) Development of requisite tourism infrastructure across the state, including way side amenities
(ii) Inter Department Coordination to ensure/expedite delivery of services to tourism stakeholders
(iii) Skill Development
(iv) Any other issues pertaining to tourism development in the state
(v) The Task Force may invite or co-opt other members as required
