Department of Higher Education, Science and Technology & Biotechnology has decided to extend the benefit of Paternity-Cum-Child Care Leave to the regular male employees.

Govt-approved CWTTs or PTTs shall be entitled to avail Study leave, for a maximum period of 12 months in one spell and for a period not exceeding 24 months in their entire service period.

Half average remuneration leave up to 20 days of CWTTs and PTTs which tantamount to 10 days medical leave with full remuneration shall henceforth be allowed to be carried forward.

Software Personnel are allowed 30 (thirty) days off in a calendar year provided that it shall not entail absence of more than 7 consecutive days at a time.

Benefit of Paternity-cum-Child Care Leave for a maximum period of 30 days has been extended to the regular male employees of the educational institutions etc.

Interest of the institute should be seen as paramount while considering the grant of Child Care Leave to the concerned employees, duration of the leave and number of spells, etc.

Absence of employees on 2nd September, 2016 will be treated as dies non and no salary will be admissible unless such absence is covered by grounds as mentioned in F.D. Memo No. 2013-F dated 06.03.2012.
