Nabanna is Open on Howrah Municipal Election
Governor is hereby pleased to declare that all the offices in NABANNA will remain open on the day of elections to the Howrah Municipal Corporation.

Child Care Leave in respect of Adopted Child
Governor has been pleased to decide to extend the Child Care Leave to the female Government Employees who legally adopted such child. All other conditions will remain same as in F.D Memo No. 9728-F(P), dated 24.10.2011 and No. 1364-F(P), dated 15.02.2012.

Letter to Colleges regarding Absence on 20.02.13 and 21.02.13
All the employees of his college whose absence on 20th and 21st February, 2013 have not been substantiated under any ground set forth in the Oder No. 2013-F (P) dated 06.03.2012. Action in this regard is to be completed by 31st March, 2013.

Letter to University regarding Absence on 20.02.13 and 21.02.13
A detailed report may also be submitted to this Department regarding the action taken so far by the University in this behalf by 31st March, 2013.

Treatment of Absence of Employees on 20.02.13 and 21.02.13
All actions in terms of this order should be completed by 31st March, 2013. Compliance report on the action taken should be sent to the Finance Department.

Maternity Leave of Contractual Employees of PBSSM
The period of maternity leave to all contractual employees under PBSSM is extended from 135 days to 180 days with effect from the date of issue of this order No. 165-SE dated 19.02.2013.

Exclusion of 30 September, 2013 from Holiday List
Governor is pleased to exclude the 30th September, 2013, Monday which was earlier declared as Public Holiday on account of Half-yearly closing of Bank Account under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

Strike related Government Order from Home Department
Attempts at forcible closure of government offices, shops, markets, educational institutions, industrial establishments, etc should be firmly dealt with. All state government offices will remain open on those days and all government employees should report for duty.

Applicability of Strike Order to Other Employees of State
To remove such confusion it is clarified that all the provisions in the said Memo are equally applicable to all employees of Corporations, Boards, Undertakings, Statutory Bodies, Local Bodies, Educational Institutions etc.

Government Circular regarding Strike on 20th September, 2012
NDA has given a call for a 24-hours Bharat bundh all over India commencing from 06-00 hours on the 20th September, 2012 and left front has also called for a 12-hours general strike in West Bengal.

Maximum Limit of Accumulation and Encashment of Earned Leave
The existing ceiling of 240 days on accumulation of Earned Leave as prescribed in Rules 169 and 171, ibid shall be enhanced to 300 days;

West Bengal Secondary School Teaching/ Non-Teaching Leave Rules
Rules for the grant of leave to the teaching and the non-teaching staff of recognised non-government Secondary Schools other than Sponsored Schools or any other Schools or Class of School as the State Government may specify.

Treatment of Absence on 28.02.2012 for Bandh/ Strike
The absence will be treated as dies non and no salary will be admissible for that day. However this will not affect past service of the concerned employee.

Child Adoption Leave for Staffs of Non-Govt. Aided Schools
A female employee having less than two surviving children shall be entitled to child adoption leave of 135 days with full pay if she adopts a child less than 1 year of age.
