Provident Fund
1) GPF (General Provident Fund), 2) CPF (Contributory Provident Fund), 3) EPF (Employees Provident Fund).
All the Heads of Offices will have to send a list of subscribers who are going to retire in the next twelve months to the Office of the Accountant General (A&E), West Bengal.
During the period from 01.10.2017 to 31.12.2017, accumulation at the credit of the subscribers to GPF shall carry interest @ of 7.8% per annum.
Governor is pleased to decide that during the period from 01.07.2021 to 30.09.2021, accumulation at the credit of the subscribers to General Provident Fund shall carry interest at the rate of 7.1% per annum.
In case of final withdrawal of accumulations in the Provident fund, interest shall he payable thereon to the employee or his nominee or legal heirs, as the case may be, up to the end of the month preceding which the payment is made.
General Provident Fund and other similar funds under the administrative control of the Government of West Bengal shall carry interest at the rate of 8% (eight percent) per annum w.e.f. 01.01.2019 to 31.03.2019.
During the period from 01.07.2022 to 30.09.2022, accumulation at the credit of the subscribers to General Provident Fund shall carry interest at the rate of 7.1%.
Accumulation at the credit of the subscribers to General Provident Fund and other similar funds shall carry interest at the rate of 7.1% per annum. The rate will be in force during this financial year for the period from 01.01.2021 to 31.03.2021.
During the period from 01.10.2018 to 31.12.2018, accumulation at the credit of the subscribers to General Provident Fund and other similar funds shall carry interest at the rate of 8% per annum.
A scheme in the name of State Assisted Scheme of Provident Fund for Unorganized Workers (SASPFUW) was introduced by Labour Department in 2001.
All Heads of the Secondary /H.S./JR.High/Madrasah are informed to submit the option of teaching and Non-teaching staff who are interested to switch over option for taking G.P.F instead of C.P.F.
