Strike/Bandh
All the West Bengal Government Offices would remain open, all the employees should report for duty and no leave would be granted to any employee on the date of strike/bandh.
ALL PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES SHOULD BE TAKEN TO ENSURE THAT THERE IS NO VIOLATION OF LAW AND ORDER AND THAT NO UNTOWARD INCIDENT TAKES PLACE. ATTEMPTS AT FORCIBLE CLOSURE OF GOVERNMENT OFFICES, SHOPS, MARKETS, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS, ETC SHOULD BE FIRMLY DEALT WITH.
I would like to enclose herewith order no. 254(60)-ISS dated 18th February, 2013 issued by The Chief Secretary, to the Govt. of West Bengal dt. 18-02-2013, read with the order of the Additional Secretary, to the Govt. of West Bengal.
A detailed report may also be submitted to this Department regarding the action taken so far by the University in this behalf by 31st March, 2013.
A CALL FOR STRIKE/ BHARAT BANDH ALL OVER INDIA HAS BEEN GIVEN BY SOME ORGANISATION ON 20th JUNE 2022 IN PROTEST AGAINST AGNEEPATH SCHEME (.)
In view of call given by some organisations for pen-down/ strike on the 20th February, 2023 (Monday) and the 21st February, 2023 (Tuesday)
In view of call given by some organisations for strike on the 10th March, 2023 it has been decided that all State Government Offices shall remain open and all the employees shall report for duty on that day.
No Casual Leave for absence either in the 1st half of the day or in the second half or for the whole day nor any other leave shall be granted to any employee on 10.09.2018.
To remove such confusion it is clarified that all the provisions in the said Memo are equally applicable to all employees of Corporations, Boards, Undertakings, Statutory Bodies, Local Bodies, Educational Institutions etc.
Teaching and Non-teaching staff of the Schools, who attended the date on which Bandh/ Strike call given by different Central Trade Unions, may avail of one day Special Casual leave.
In view of call given by different trade unions and others for a 24 hours’ All India Industrial strike/bandh on 8th January, 2020, it has been decided that all State Government Offices shall remain open.
