Strike/Bandh
All the West Bengal Government Offices would remain open, all the employees should report for duty and no leave would be granted to any employee on the date of strike/bandh.
A detailed report may also be submitted to this Department regarding the action taken so far by the University in this behalf by 31st March, 2013.
All Heads of Offices/ Controlling Authorities concerned will issue Show-Cause notice to the employee(s) concerned, who will remain absent on 28th March, 2022 and 29th March, 2022 or on any of these 2 (two) dates
Governor has been pleased to decide that absence of employees on that date (18th August, 2015) will be treated as dies non and no salary will be admissible unless such absence.

In view of call given by different Trade Unions for bandh/strike all over the country on the 2nd September, 2015, it has been decided that all State Government offices would remain open.
No Casual Leave for absence either in the 1st half of the day or in the second half or for the whole day nor any other leave shall be granted to any employee on 10.09.2018.

Attempts at forcible closure of government offices, shops, markets, educational institutions, industrial establishments, etc should be firmly dealt with. All state government offices will remain open on those days and all government employees should report for duty.
In view of call given by different trade unions and others for a 24 hours’ All India Industrial strike/bandh on 8th January, 2020, it has been decided that all State Government Offices shall remain open.
