As per GPF rules an employee nominate one or more from his/ her family. Where family for a female employee means the husband and children of the employee, and the widow or widows and children of a deceased son of the employee.
Maternity Leave is admissible for 6 weeks in case of miscarriage and abortion. The application of leave is supported by a certificate from a registered medical practitioner. (Rule 199 of West Bengal Service Rule which is applicable for School Teachers).
