Governor is pleased to form a committee comprising of the following Officers for fixing up the rates of such maintenance contracts alongwith necessary terms and conditions:

Lift Installation in Government Buildings within Stipulated Time
Lift shaft dimension with drawing have to be a part of the NIT at the time of purchasing of the tender, demand draft have to be accepted.

Modified Sanctioned Strength in LDC and UDC Cadre under P.W.Dte.
Governor is pleased, in the interest of Public Service to notify a modified establishment wise sanctioned strength in L.D.C. & U.D.C. cadre under P.W.Dte. as depicted in the enclosed Annexure.

AA&FS must be endorsed with Allotment Orders
Reference of the G.O. under which the Administrative Approval and Financial Sanction was issued, should invariably be given in the Sanction-cum-Allotment order.

Nodal Officer for Vetting of Estimates by Public Works Department
For streamlining the process, it has been decided to introduce single window entry of all projects having multi-discipline [Architecture, Civil, Electrical/ IT (Electrical), Mechanical] vetting works through the Chief-Engineer, Planning (South Zone), PWD.

Restructuring of three circles under PW Electrical wing namely, PW (El) Circle-I, PW (El) Circle-IV and PW (El) Resource Circle with their administrative jurisdiction under PW Dte.

Creation of Post of Engineer-in-Chief & Ex-Officio Secretary, PWD
Governor is further pleased to apportion the said additional post of Engineer-in-Chief & Exofficio Secretary into the cadre of West Bengal Engineering Service under Public Works Department.

Reconstitution of Tender Committee of Public Works Department
In view of introduction of Integrated Finance Branch in Public Works Department a need was felt to reconstitute the existing Tender Committee for different wings of this department.

AMC and Repairing of Elevators and Lifts by the concerned OEMs
All concerned are directed to submit proposals for executing AMC and repairing of elevators and lifts by the concerned OEMs to the Public Works Department for necessary approval.
