To ensure universalization of Primary, Elementary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and to ensure quality education for Human Resource Development.
Membership of candidates of all District Primary School Councils of this state who were elected under Zilla Parishad Members’ category and Panchayat Samity Members’ category pursuant to the election conducted by this Department in the month of November-2010 shall deemed to be terminated after publication of results of Panchayat General Election 2013.
Part – II Final Examination, 2017 of D.El.Ed. Course (Regular/ Face to Face mode) for the session 2015-2017 will commence on and from 14th December, 2017.
Result of the D.El.Ed. Part-II Examination, 2014 for the session 2012-2014 held on and from 18.08.2014 to 30.08.2014 is published and displayed on the website: www.wbbpe.org.
The fund of Rs. 50,000/- is placed directly to the Heads of the Institutions. The funds placed will be utilized on approval of the Managing Committee of the school.
An initiative called ‘Sankhalaghu Shiksha Utkarsha Abhiyan’ (Improvement of under achievers belonging to Minority Community) has been taken up this year in 6 Districts of West Bengal.
All children from 6-14 years shall be admitted to their age appropriate classes in neighbour-hood schools, and elementary education including pre-primary education shall be provided to them free of cost.
Government of West Bengal has formed an expert committee to review the situation and recommend on the following points: 1) Whether to conduct/not to conduct the Madhyamik/ Uchhamadhyamik (Secondary/ Higher Secondary) examinations, 2021.
Children who have completed any class at a lesser age as per prevalent rule in force at the material point of time in any Govt. Sponsored school may be allowed to proceed to the next class.
D. El. Ed. Part – II Examination (Theoretical) of the session – 2016-2018 (Regular) and of the sessions 2014-2016 and 2015-2017 (the continuing candidates) to be held on and from 17.12.2018.
