To ensure universalization of Primary, Elementary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and to ensure quality education for Human Resource Development.
Late attendance shall be counted from the start of class teaching (i.e. 15 minutes after appointed hour) and up to half an hour from appointed hour and no staff will be allowed to record his or her attendance after half an hour from the appointed hour (i.e. 11.05 A.M.)
The Centre-in-Charge will make seating arrangements of the candidates in the centre/ venue for not more than 2 (two) candidates on a bench and will engage at least 2 (two) Invigilators for not more than 50 candidates.
This Act may be called the West Bengal School Service Commission (Amendment) Act, 1998. It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
Teaching and Non-teaching staff of secondary schools who would be actually utilised on being appointed by the WBBPE for conducting TET upto 31.3.2013 would be allowed On Duty for the period spent for the purpose of conducting TET.
Any appointment of a Teacher or a non-teaching staff made on or after the commencement of this Act in contravention of the provisions of this Act shall be invalid and shall have no effect and the teacher or the non-teaching staff so appointed shall not be a Teacher or a non-teaching staff within the meaning of clause (p) or clause (ia) of section 2, as the case may be.
Normal classes will not be held during the period of examinations mentioned above, so that all teachers of all the schools may be utilized for the purpose of invigilation and Examination works.
Some rectifications in the revised Annual Calender for 2013 and some additions in Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system from Class V to Class VIII already intimated earlier for effective implementation of the system.
