Sub: Organising Nirmal Vidyalaya Saptaha on 8-13 April 2013
Madam/Sir,
It was decided in 2010 that 7th April World Health Day would be observed as School Hygiene Day in West Bengal and all schools will take up a set of activities in campaign mode under Sarva Siksha Abhijan (SSA). To give further impetus to this initiative last year the Department also announced a week long School Led Hygiene Drive which was successfully rolled out between 7-13 April 2012.
It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that like in the previous year, this department has decided to organize Nirmal Vldyalaya Saptaha on 8-13 April 2013. All schools of the state including SSKs and MSKs will take up a set of activities in campaign mode to make it a success.
You are requested to convene a District Preparatory Meeting represented by all members of the District Award Committee. Rural Sanitary Marts, District Coordinate of Nirmal Bharat Abhijan, CPCs/School Inspectors and other stakeholders to develop a strategy for its rolling out.
You are requested to ensure that funds available under other national flagship programs are mobilized for providing necessary support to the schools.
Enclosed herewith please find the necessary guidelines for rolling out the process.
Yours faithfully,
Sd/- Arnab Roy
Secretary, SE Deptt.
