NOTICE

INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR POST MATRIC STIPEND FOR MINORITY STUDENTS UNDER ‘TALENT SUPPORT PROGRAMME OF GOVT. OF W.B., 2015-16
(For those who passed their last final examination & secured less than 50% Marks)

Applications are invited for the above programme in the prescribed form from the students belonging to minority communities (i.e. Buddhist, Christian, Jain, Muslim, Parsi and Sikh) who are pursuing Higher Secondary or Under Graduate/ Post Graduate or equivalent courses under recognized Boards/Universities of West Bengal and other states. Details may be seen at the website www.wbmdfc.org.

The Eligibility:

  1. This scheme is for the students who have passed the last final Board/University examination and secured less than 50% marks and are studying in recognized institutions.
  2. 30% of stipend is reserved for girl students.
  3. He/ She must be the citizen of India and domicile of West Bengal.
  4. His/ Her annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2.00 lakh from all sources.

General Terms & Conditions:

  1. The eligible students are to apply in the prescribed Form which is available at the B.D.O/ S.D.O. office and at the District Officer Minority Affairs at the office of District Magistrate and is also available in the Website www.wbmdfc.org. Photo copy of the prescribed form is also acceptable.
  2. Bank Account in the Banks with IFS code is Compulsory. The disbursement of stipend will be done through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
  3. Receiving of Applications will be started from 1st August 2015 and the Last Date for submission of application is 30th September 2015.
  4. The duly filled in prescribed form along with Income Certificate, attested copy of mark sheet of last examination and photocopy of Bank Pass Book should be submitted in the respective schools/ Institutions.
  5. Application will not be received at the office of Block Development officer (B.D.O)/ Sub-Divisional-Officer (S.D.O)/ District Office of Minority Affairs (DOMA)/ West Bengal Minority Development & finance Corporation (WBMDFC).
  6. Students who secure 50% or more marks in the last examination are covered under a different scheme of Post-Matric Scholarship for which Online Application is received through Portal (www.scholarships.gov.in)
  7. A student shall be eligible for only one scholarship, from all sources. If a student is found applied more than one scholarship all applications will be rejected.

MODE OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION IN CASE OF TALENT SUPPORT STIPEND(FOR ALL DISTRICT EXCLUDING KOLKATA)

  1. The students belonging to Minority Communities and obtaining less than 50% marks in the last examination in Madhyamik Pariksha or equivalent exam or onward examination and family annual income is not above Rs 2.0 lacs is eligible for Talent Support Stipend. The above stipend under the Talent Support Programme of Government of W.B. is to be awarded to the above minority students to enable them to study from class XI to PhD excepting technical & Professional courses.
  2. Opening of Bank Account is compulsory for Talent Support Stipend preferably in nationalised or scheduled Bank with IFS Code.
  3. The Talent Support Stipend will be disbursed henceforth through Direct Benefit Transfer (D.B.T) mode only.
  4. Those students having Aadhar Card (UID No) should also quote the same while applying for scholarship.
  5. Head Masters /Head Mistress/Teacher-in-Charge/Principal/Secretary of college/Professor-in-Charge of all Recognised Institutions are requested to take inititative for opening of Bank Account in camp mode in consultation with local Administration and Bank Authorities.
  6. Application for Scholarship is compulsory for both FRESH AND RENEWAL cases. Those who are new will apply as FRESH and those who received Talent Support Stipend earlier will apply as RENEWAL.
  7. Students will submit application form duly signed along with necessary documents to the Head of the Institutions who in turn will submit the applications after verification to the Block Development Officer or to the District Minority Office.
  8. In case of other Municipal Corporations and Municipalities concerned Sub-Divisional Officer (S.D.O) will coordinate. In such case the application forms will be submitted to the Sub-Divisional Officer (S.D.O) office by the Institute.
  9. Block Development Officer (B.D.O)/Sub-Divisional Officer(S.D.O) in turn will send the Application forms to District officer, Minority Affairs (DOMA) and the Education Supervisor of WBMDFC will take in initiative for sending the forms to the respective District officer of Minority Affairs.
  10. District officer, Minority Affairs (DOMA) will take initiative for data entry and scanning of the Application. The District Co-ordinator/Education Supervisor will take active role during Data Entry. After Data Entry District officer, Minority Affairs (DOMA) will send the Data to WBMDFC in excel format Fresh & Renewal separately.
  11. All the applications must be submitted through Concerned Institutions. Individual applications will not be received in the Block Development Office or the District Minority Office or at the office of the WBMDFC either by hand or through Post.
