Governor is pleased to declare Dates of Election as Public Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 for the districts mentioned below:-
Postponement of Election for Constitution /Reconstitution of the Managing Committee of all Recognized Non-Govt. Secondary Schools and extension of the tenure in view of ensuing Assembly Election, 2016.
The eighth Panchayat General Elections to 3-tier Panchayats will be held in this State within a short period from now. As has been assessed, around four lakhs of polling personnel will be required for smooth conduct of the above elections.
As the election to the Panchayati Raj bodies is likely to be held in the first or second week of July, 2013, for which training of all personnel who will be engaged in the election process, will be conducted after 15th of June, 2013
As per schedule for the bye-election to 216-Kanthi Dakshin Assembly Constituency as announced by the Election Commission of India, the date of poll is 09.04.2017, Sunday.
All the Head of the Institution are informed that Schools earmarked as Polling booth not having electricity connection either will apply for temporary or for permanent connection from W.B.S.E.D.C.L. by 14-04-14.
Governor is hereby pleased to declare 1st, 3rd and 5th of May 2018 as public holidays in view of Panchayat General Elections 2018.
Governor is pleased to declare 14th May, 2018 (Monday) to be a public holiday under the N.I. Act, 1881 for the aforesaid districts for Panchayat General Elections 2018.
(a) the 10th day of June, 2013 as the last date for making nominations; (b) the 12th day of June, 2013 as the date for the scrutiny of nominations; (c) the 15th day of June, 2013 as the last date for withdrawal of candidatures;
Postponement of Election for Constitution/ Reconstitution of the Managing Committee/ Ad-hoc committee/ Organizing Committee/ Administrator up to 23.07.2019 of Recognised Junior High, High and Senior Madrasah in view of ensuing Parliamentary Election 2019.
