Governor has been pleased to direct that the date of effect of the revised pay structure, the manner of fixation of pay in the revised pay structure and other conditions of service of the employees under School Education Department.
Revision of pay for Faculties including Principals and Librarians of a) Cooch Behar Government Engineering College, b) Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology, Kolkata, c) Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology, Kolkata, d) Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Berhampur, e) Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Serampur, f) Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, g) Kalyani Government Engineering College h) Ramkrishna Mahato Government Engineering College, Purulia.
Automatic Pay Fixation Calculator for the employees of West Bengal State Govt. Employees under ROPA 2009 and ROPA 2019 is for calculating the pay after any fixation for different reasons.
Governor to replace the existing contents of Level 10C as contained in Schedule II to the WBS (ROPA) Rules, 2019 by the following:
Group – A: All employees having Entry Pay in the Pay-Level with a minimum Rs. 35,800/- and above with Level of Pay ranging from 12 and above. Group – B: Rs. 24,700/-and above with Level of Pay ranging from 7 to 11. Group – C: Rs. 18,800/-and above with Level of Pay ranging from 3 to 6. Group – D: Rs. 17,000/- and above with Level of Pay ranging in 1 and 2.
Enhancement of the corresponding Band Pay as par ROPA, 2009 in case of trained primary teachers is Rs. 7440/- (initial Band Pay) in the Pay Band-3 and in case of untrained primary teachers is Rs. 6700/- (initial Band Pay) in the Pay Band-2.
Consequent upon promulgation of the West Bengal Services (Revision of Pay and Allowance) Rules, 2019 certain points have been raised from different corners regarding various aspects of fixation of pay.
If promotion to higher post involves assumption of duties and responsibilities of greater importance, a Government employee for such promotion will get the benefit of 3 percent increment in terms of Rule 11 of the WBS (ROPA) Rules, 2009, even though Grade Pay of the officiating promotion post is lower than the ‘Grade Pay’ drawn by him for holding higher non-functional scale(s).
Revision of Pension/ Family Pension of post 01.01.2016 Pensioners/ Family Pensioners in respect of Teaching Staff including Librarians/ Assistant Librarians, Physical Instructors/ Instructresses and equivalent category of employees of Government Colleges.
The question of revision of scales of pay of Excise Constable and Assistant Sub-Inspector under the administrative control of Excise Department have been under consideration of the Government for some time past.
