Enhancement of Grade Pay of Primary Teachers

Grade Pay of Trained Primary Teachers is enhanced from Rs. 2600/- in Pay Band-2 to Rs. 3600/- in Pay Band-3 and the Grade Pay of Untrained Primary Teachers is enhanced from Rs. 2300/- to Rs. 2900/- in Pay Band-2 with effect from 1st August, 2019.

Clarifications of ROPA, 2009

If promotion to higher post involves assumption of duties and responsibilities of greater importance, a Government employee for such promotion will get the benefit of 3 percent increment in terms of Rule 11 of the WBS (ROPA) Rules, 2009, even though Grade Pay of the officiating promotion post is lower than the ‘Grade Pay’ drawn by him for holding higher non-functional scale(s).

ROPA, 2019 for Non Teaching Employees of Colleges and WBCSC

Revision of Pay and Allowances for the (i) Non-teaching employees of state aided Non. Govt. Colleges including erstwhile sponsored colleges and Day students’ Homes employees. (ii) Employees of the West Bengal College Service Commission.

Determination of Group of Employees upon ROPA, 2019

Group – A: All employees having Entry Pay in the Pay-Level with a minimum Rs. 35,800/- and above with Level of Pay ranging from 12 and above. Group – B: Rs. 24,700/-and above with Level of Pay ranging from 7 to 11. Group – C: Rs. 18,800/-and above with Level of Pay ranging from 3 to 6. Group – D: Rs. 17,000/- and above with Level of Pay ranging in 1 and 2.

Enhancement of Salary of Primary School Teachers

Enhancement of the corresponding Band Pay as par ROPA, 2009 in case of trained primary teachers is Rs. 7440/- (initial Band Pay) in the Pay Band-3 and in case of untrained primary teachers is Rs. 6700/- (initial Band Pay) in the Pay Band-2.
