Sub: Implementation of Swasthya Sathi for Casual/ Contractual workers.
Sir/Madam,
You are aware, State Government have since introduced a Group Health Insurance Scheme named ‘Swasthya Sathi’ for different categories of worker and volunteer. Casual/Contractual workers engaged by different departments are also covered under the Scheme.
Health & Family Welfare Department being the Nodal Department for implementation of the Scheme have delineated the modalities for preparation of database of prospective beneficiaries for their enrolment under the Scheme. Now, a question as to the eligibility of Casual/ Contractual workers for being enrolled under the Scheme has been raised.
In regard to the question as stated above, it is clarified that the workers who had been engaged against sanctioned vacancy in Group-C and Group-D category of post following the stipulations made under No. 9008-F(P) dated 16-09-2011 and No. 467-F(P) dated 28-01-2015 and are continuing with the engagement are eligible for being enrolled under the Scheme.
In view of the above, you are requested to kindly issue necessary instruction to your all Directorates, Regional Offices and other offices concerned to enable them to prepare and submit correct database containing the particulars of eligible employees only.
