  • West Bengal Potato Procurement Scheme, 2019

    Governor is pleased to announce a market intervention scheme for direct procurement of potatoes from the farmers at a declared Minimum Procurement Price w.e.f. 01.03.2019 for the Potato Loading Season 2019.

  • SOP for Implementation of Krishak Bandhu (Assured Income) Scheme – Clarifications

    The SOP may kindly be considered as revised to the extent mentioned in the said clarifications, in case of any conflict between the detail SOP issued earlier and the clarification being issued herewith, the latter will prevail.

  • Implementation of Krishak Bandhu (Assured Income) Scheme

    Government of West Bengal has introduced the Krishak Bandhu Scheme (KBS) to support farmers financially during pre-production stage to make agriculture profitable for the farmers and to provide them social security so that their families are not put to distress in the event of farmer’s untimely demise.

  • Krishak Bandhu (Assured Income and Death Benefit) Scheme

    Krishak Bandhu (Assured Income) Scheme under which every farmer including recorded Bhagchasi (Share Croper) will be eligible to get financial support. The financial support will be paid in two instalments.

  • Bangla Fasal Bima Yojana – Extended upto January, 2019

    The primary objective of the scheme is to provide facilities of enrolment for crop insurance to left out non-loanee farmers who could not enroll themselves on voluntary basis.

  • Bangla Fasal Bima Yojana (BFBY) Scheme

    Bangla Fasal Bima Yojana (BFBY)/ Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojona (PMFBY) will be implemented in all districts of the State during RABI 2018-19 season for the crops and Insurance Units.

  • Suphal Bangla – Home Delivery of Vegetables

    Suphal Bangla project commenced through door to door selling of vegetables in mobile vans. This project ensures availability of food and nutritional security at reasonable price.

  • West Bengal Agricultural Income-Tax (Notices) Act, 1952

    An Act to validate certain notices, assessments and proceedings under the Bengal Agricultural Income-tax Act, 1944.

  • West Bengal Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1972

    An Act to provide for the regulation of marketing of agricultural produce in West Bengal.

  • Soil Health Card and Soil Testing Laboratory in West Bengal

    Crop production essentially relies on traditional practices of soil water and energy management with no adverse effects on the health of the plant, soil and environment; except for sporadic natural calamities.

  • AGRISNET – Department of Agriculture, West Bengal

    They also provide support services through soil testing, soil conservation, water conservation, and seed testing/ seed certification. These bodies are also involved in plant protection and quality control of fertilisers, pesticides etc.

  • Merit List for Recruitment of LDC in Agriculture Department
