Home and Hill Affairs Department was established to operate and control the Administration within the State. The management of its personnel & administration for maintenance of security and revenue collection was its operative part.

Governor is pleased to specially declare the office at 9th floor, A wing, New Secretarial Building, No. 1, Kiran Sankar Roy Road, Kolkata – 700001 to be a police station named as Anti Corruption Branch Police Station.
Opening of all ICDS centres. A separate Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) will be issued by Women & Child Development and Social Welfare Department in this regard.
Governor is pleased to notify the services pertaining to the Home and Hill Affairs Department including W.B. Police Directorate & Kolkata Police Commissionerate under control of the Home and Hill Affairs Department along with the stipulated time limit for rendering the services.
Commissioner of Police, Kolkata and the Director General & Inspector General of Police, West Bengal is the authority for departmental proceedings for Kolkata and West Bengal Police.
ALL PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES SHOULD BE TAKEN TO ENSURE THAT THERE IS NO VIOLATION OF LAW AND ORDER AND THAT NO UNTOWARD INCIDENT TAKES PLACE. ATTEMPTS AT FORCIBLE CLOSURE OF GOVERNMENT OFFICES, SHOPS, MARKETS, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS, ETC SHOULD BE FIRMLY DEALT WITH.
