The method of and qualifications required for recruitment to the posts of Principal and Lecturer in the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), under the School Education Department, Government of West Bengal.
It shall not be necessary to consult the PSC, WB in regard to promotion to posts, permanent or temporary, the appointing authority for which is an authority subordinate to the State Government.
Issuance of N.O.C. in favour of incumbents applying through proper channel/ intimation from the applicants to the employer for appearing in the recruitment Examination of P.S.C., West Bengal or other organisation for the post of Assistant Engineer or else.
All Officers of the Govt. of West Bengal who are recruited directly through PSC (Public Service Commission), West Bengal shall have to pass the departmental examination during the probation period.
A panel should not remain valid for more than a year. The panel will automatically stand cancelled when all the notified vacant posts are filled up from the panel within the said one year validity period.
Chairman and members of PSC are appointed by President of India/ Governor of the State as the case may be. They cannot be removed from his post by President.
Assistant Masters/ Mistresses in Physical Education in Govt. Schools gets pay under Pay Band-4 of Rs. 9000-40500/- with G.P. Rs. 4800/- under ROPA, 2009 may be classified as Group-A.
