Sub: Disbursement of Salary of the State Government Employees in Cash
Sir,
In view of the hardship being faced by the employees of the State Government, Teaching & Non-Teaching Educational Institutions, Panchayat, Municipalities, PSUs/ Corporations & Statutory/ Autonomous Bodies because of the recent liquidity crunch and in order to provide them some relief, particularly to those belonging to Group – C & Group – D category, it has been since been decided by the State Government that a sum of Rs. 5000/- (Rupees five thousand) only to the Group C & Group D Employees and Rs. 2000/- (rupees two thousand) only to the Casual/ Contractual, Work-charged Employees and the Daily Rated Workers, Civil Voluntaries and other of similar categories will be disbursed in cash as Part Salary/ Remuneration from the salary/ remuneration for the month of December, 2016. A copy of the G.O. No. 5970-F(Y) dated 21st November, 2016 issued in this in this regard is attached.
You are requested to issue instructions to all Banks to take necessary measures to provide adequate liquid cash to so that the disbursement to the employees can be made in cash in denomination of Rs. 500/- and below.
Total requirement of fund would be about Rs. 200 Crores
