To resolve the issue of space crunch and infrastructure constraints in the old portal (www.wbtenders.gov.in) it is hereby decided that the following Department and its subordinate offices will henceforth float all their fresh e-tenders only in the new portal:

MEMORANDUM

Sub: Floating of fresh tenders in the new portal (www.tenders.wb.gov.in)

To ensure timely and effective implementation of various schemes, the State Government introduced the portal www.tenders.wb.gov.in vide FD Memo No: 4253-F(Y) dated 03.12.2025 and 4280-F(Y) dated 04.12.2025.

Subsequently, its scope was extended to the Public Works Department and some other Departments based on their requests on case to case basis.

Now, to resolve the issue of space crunch and infrastructure constraints in the old portal (www.wbtenders.gov.in) it is hereby decided that the following Department and its subordinate offices will henceforth float all their fresh e-tenders only in the new portal:

  1. Public Works Department.
  2. Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department.
  3. Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA).
  4. Panchayat and Rural Development Department.
  5. Irrigation & Waterways Department.
  6. Health & Family Welfare Department.
  7. All District Magistrates (DM) offices.
  8. All Zilla Parishad offices.

This order takes effect from 17.08.2026.
