After completion of 1 year continuous service by an employee, joining in GPF Scheme is compulsory. Also nomination is mandatory. Minimum subscription is 6%, maximum is upto full pay.
Tender Committee was required to evaluate the tender in respect of work estimated to cost more than Rs. 50 lac (enhanced limit) on the cost of which may exceed the estimated amount by 3%.
No employee shall go on strike without giving notice of at least 14 days. For public utility services (running of hospitals, Fire brigades, Drinking water supply, Milk supply, Ration shops) the period is 30 days.

Minimum qualifying service for eligibility in pension is 10 years. Full Pension @ 50% of Last Pay is applicable for qualifying service of 20 years or more. It is the simplified pension matters.

The President of India makes Government Accounting Rules in 1990 which describes the general principles of Government Accounting for Government departments.
In the matter of receipt, custody and disbursement of Government moneys, these rules are supplementary to West Bengal Treasury Rules, and should be applied in conjunction with them.
All Officers of the Govt. of West Bengal who are recruited directly through PSC (Public Service Commission), West Bengal shall have to pass the departmental examination during the probation period.
These rules shall apply to recruitment to the posts of Driver, Grade-I and Driver, Grade-II in the secretariat department, Directorates and in regional offices (in districts including Kolkata).
