Head Office of ‘Tamang Development and Cultural Board’ is in the District of Darjeeling, West Bengal, under the administrative control of the Tribal Development Department, Government of West Bengal.
A certificate is to be issued by all the Head of the Institutions, that all the eligible SC/ST students of classes V to VIII of his/her school for the year 2014-15 are not left out in Awardee-list.
Governor is hereby pleased to nominate the followings members to the General Body of Tamang Development and Cultural Board. It shall automatically expire on completion of five years.
The ‘Tamang Development and Cultural Board’ was constituted vide resolution No. 33-TDD/6S-80/13(Pt.-l) dated the 27th June, 2014 duly published in the Kolkata Gazette on 16th July, 2014.
To provide quality assistance to SC/ST day-scholar students of Classes V to VIII in a smooth, transparent and efficient way a single new scheme Sikshashree has been implemented.
Method of recruitment is (i) by direct recruitment on the basis of the results of the Examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission, West Bengal, and (ii) by promotion of Social Workers Grade I under the Backward Classes Welfare Department.
The reservation norms shall apply on and from the Academic Session 2014-15 to all Universities, Government colleges, colleges and other institutions receiving aid from the State Government.
The minimum qualification for being eligible for engagement as Data Entry Operator will be Graduation with Certificate in Computer Applications from recognized University/ Institute.
Issuing authority may issue fresh OBC certificates on surrender of the Original by the holders of Old Certificates for revalidation mentioning Category-A or Category-B till 31st December, 2014.
