Under the scheme the folk artistes in the age group of 18 to 60 years are getting retainer allowance of Rs. 1 thousand per month and the folk artistes above 60 years are getting Rs. 1000 as pension.
Governor is pleased to make West Bengal Information and Cultural Services (Recruitment) Rules, 2016 regulating the recruitment to the West Bengal Information and Cultural Service.
All Government advertisements for display advertisements in print media and electronic media (television) will continue to be released by the I&CA Department, but such releases henceforth will be made through empanelled Release Agencies in the respective newspapers and TV channels.
Government has revised the rates for release of advertisements in various print media, as detailed in the Annexure. The revised rates shall remain effective upto 31.03.2019.
Policy for releasing of all Advertisements in Print & Electronic Media from all Government departments (including Corporations, Public Sector Undertakings) by I&CA Department.
An accredited Journalist shall apply to the Pr. Secy./ OSD & E.O. Spl. Secy., I&CA Department in Form A and submit to Kolkata Information Centre (for Kolkata) and to D.I.C.O. (in District).
District Information & Cultural Officer may exercise option to come under the said revised scale of pay as has been allowed vide this Department’s Order No. 546-ICA dt. 27.2.09 w.e.f. any date between 1.1.96 to 1.1.97.
After negotiations with different media houses the rates of advertisements of different newspapers have been fixed which will take effect from 01.06.2012.
The ‘State Song’ shall compulsorily be played with due respect in all State Government functions at the start of the ceremony/ function and the ‘National Anthem’ shall be played compulsorily at the conclusion of the ceremony/ function.
