Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education Department (MAMED) works for the development and welfare of minorities to ensure protection of rights and provide opportunities for growth.

  • West Bengal Minorities’ Commission Act, 1996

    An Act to constitute a Minorities’ Commission to study and suggest additional social, economic, educational and cultural requirements of religious and linguistic minorities of West Bengal with a view to equipping them to preserve secular traditions of West Bengal and to promote national integration.

  • Offline Support (Assignment) to the Students of Madrasahs

    Head of the Madrasah will distribute the task of preparation of assignments among the Teachers as per class routine. Based on syllabus of 2nd term, the teachers of the madrasahs will prepare class-wise and subject-wise assignments (Full Marks-50) for the students.

  • Post-Matric Scholarship for Minority Students for 2012-13

    The Eligibility Criteria of Post-Matric Scholarship for Minority Students are as follows: 1. He/ She must be a citizen of India and domicile of West Bengal having annual family income less than Rs. 2.00 lakh and secured a minimum 50% marks.

  • Reconstitution of Managing Committee in Madrasah

    Postponement of Election for Constitution /Reconstitution of Managing Committee up to 16.07.2014 in Recognised Junior High, High and Senior Madrasah in view of ensuing Parliamentary Election 2014.

  • Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minority Students for 2013-14

    WBMDFC invites applications for Scholarship from meritorious students belonging to Minority Community. The students of Government or Private recognized schools from class I to X, including hostellers are eligible to apply for the Scholarship.

  • Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minority Students for 2014-15

    WBMDFC invites applications for Scholarship from meritorious students belonging to Minority Community (Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain and Parsee) of class I to X of Government or Private recognized schools including hostellers.

  • Education Loan for Minority Students, 2014-15

    WBMDFC invites online applications for education loan for the year 2014-15 from students belonging to Minority Communities who are pursuing Technical/ Professional courses at UG/PG level or short term courses under recognized Institutes of West Bengal and other states of India.
