Stage-I State level NTS Examination will be held on 8th November, 2015. Stage-II Examination (National Level) will be conducted and held on 8th May, 2016 by the N.C.E.R.T.

National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination 2021 (for the student studying in class VIII in 2021) will be held at different centres of West Bengal on 20.02.2022 instead of 16.01.2022.
Introduction of semester in class XI from the academic year 2024-2025 onwards (1st semester November 2024 and 2nd semester march 2025) and in class XII (HS) from academic year 2025-2026 on wards.
4 (four) more optional elective subjects under NVEQF programme with existing 33 (thirty three) recommended for inclusion from class-IX in 2013 academic session.
