Duty Hours of Medical Officers, Staffs providing Patient Care Service
Governor is pleased to authorize the Superintendent of the different hospitals to adjust the hours of duty of Medical Officers of their institutions on specified days in the week or by rotation to run the indoor and other services on Sundays/notified holidays. On such holidays the indoor, emergency and other services will be provided through local arrangements in consultation with medical officers/specialists and other staff.
Child Care Leave in respect of Adopted Child
Governor has been pleased to decide to extend the Child Care Leave to the female Government Employees who legally adopted such child. All other conditions will remain same as in F.D Memo No. 9728-F(P), dated 24.10.2011 and No. 1364-F(P), dated 15.02.2012.
West Bengal Services (Training and Examination) Rules – Part II

Clarification on Some points regarding Compassionate Appointment
Governor is pleased to direct that the principles and procedure as laid down in the following paragraphs shall be followed in the matter of appointment on compassionate ground.
Exempted Categories under West Bengal Regulation of Recruitment Act, 1999
A near relation of the deceased employee may be considered for employment on compassionate ground only when the son/ daughter/ wife of the deceased employee cannot be considered for employment owing to minor age or oilier disabilities.
Additional Remuneration for Gr. D Employees Operating Xerox Machine
Gr. D employees, who are attached to office where there is no post of duplicating machine operator and are operating the same in addition to their normal duties will get additional remuneration @ Rs. 80/- per month.

A Selection Committee is constituted and a Guideline relating to selection of Trainees for the G.N.M. Training Course, for the session September, 2013 to February, 2017 is issued as per West Bengal state Nurses’ Training (Admission of Students) Rules, 1979.
