ORDER
Whereas, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will conduct the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, 2016 (Medical) on 20th July 2016 in different Schools under the School Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal as mentioned and included in the Schedule attached with the order of the Higher Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal vide order No. 501-Edn(T)/4E-10/12(Pt-II), dated 13.07.2016 (copy enclosed);
And whereas, in terms of the said order the Higher Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal, has advised to declare a ‘local holiday’ in the said Schools as mentioned and included in the Schedule attached with the order (copy enclosed) to ensure smooth conduct of the aforesaid examination;
Now therefore, the Governor has been pleased to direct that 20th July 2016 is hereby declared as local holidays in the said Schools only; and the regular academic and other activities in the said schools shall remain closed on the days of examination and concerned School authorities will co-operate with the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board for the purpose of conducting the Joint Entrance Examination, 2016 (Medical) on 20th July 2016 in the said Schools in the interest of public service. However all teachers and staff required for invigilation and other duties relating to the Joint Entrance Examination will attend on those days.
