West Bengal Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010
An Act to provide for the registration and regulation of clinical establishments of the State and for matters connected there with or incidental there to.
This department has been vested with the responsibility of maintaining and developing the health care system in W.B. Public health, sanitation and hospitals are the exclusive responsibilities of the State.

These rules may be called the West Bengal Clinical Establishment (Registration, Regulation and Transparency), Rules, 2017.
SNCU: The duty should be spread over 6 days a week @ 8 hrs a day. There will be only one day off. Neonatal ward: MO, SNCU visit every morning and evening at least once and in case of emergency.
Restructuring of OPD and Emergency Departments of the following medical college & hospitals: (i) Kolkata Medical College and Hospital (ii) Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital (iii) RG Kar Medical College and Hospital (iv) NRS Medical College and Hospital.
The West Bengal Health Recruitment Board (WBHRB) is responsible for selecting and recommending candidates for direct recruitment to posts permanent or temporary for which the appointing authority is the Government in the Department of Health & Family Welfare and authority subordinate to the Governor.
Ward sister is the first level supervisor and team leader of the unit. She is directly accountable to the Nursing Superintendent through Deputy Nursing Superintendent for ward management and patient care.
90% of the total sanctioned posts shall be filled up by selection (direct recruitment) through Public Service Commission and 10% by departmental promotion from the posts of Ward Master.
Contractual remuneration of the Senior Residents after enhancement would amount to i. Senior Residents having PG Diploma @ Rs. 65,000/- ii. Senior Residents having PG Degree @ Rs. 70,000/- iii. Senior Residents having Post Doctoral Degree @ Rs. 75,000/- per month.
An Act to provide for prohibiting the use of tobacco in any form and spitting in places of public work or use and in public service vehicles in the State of West Bengal and to make provisions for the protection of health of non-smokers and minors and other matters concerned therein or incidental thereto.
