  • Ward Sister – Duties and Responsibilities

    Ward sister is the first level supervisor and team leader of the unit. She is directly accountable to the Nursing Superintendent through Deputy Nursing Superintendent for ward management and patient care.

  • Enhancement of Superannuation Age in Health Department

    Age of superannuation of all persons borne in the cadre of West Bengal Medical Education Service (WBMES) is enhanced from 62 years to 65 years and in the cadre of West Bengal Health Service (WBHS) and West Bengal Public Health-cum-Administrative Service (WBPH&AS) from 60 years to 62 years.

  • Guidelines for Recruitment of House-Staff

    First preference is to be given to the candidates completing Internship in the current year of WBUHS, next preference to the candidates of immediate previous year, and so on. Then candidates from states outside West Bengal in the same way.

  • Departmental Promotion in West Bengal Medical Education Service, 2013

    Eligible Medical Teachers of the WBMES are required to apply for departmental promotion in different disciplines of WBMES as per the instructions and schedule annexed here with for departmental promotion to the higher academic posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor.
