In view of the ongoing COVID – 19 pandemic and the vulnerability of the elderly persons to Corona virus, the Governor has now been pleased to order that in the current year all the Pensioners/ Family Pensioners may submit Life Certificate to the Treasuries/ Pension Disbursing Banks, as the case may be, till 28.02.2021.
State Government Employees drawing pay more than Rs. 2,01,000/- only will also get Dearness Allowance @ 3% of revised basic pay and the pensioners still drawing pre-revised pension will get Dearness Relief @ 133% with effect from 01.01.2021.
These rules may be called the West Bengal Panchayat (Panchayat Samiti Administration) Rules, 2008 and shall apply to all Panchayat Samitis in the State of West Bengal.
The whole time State Government employees drawing basic pay upto Rs. 2,01,000/-shall draw Dearness Allowance @ 3% of basic pay w.e.f. 01.01.2021. The calculation of Dearness Allowances shall be made taking into account the revised basic pay and NPA.
All the Pension Disbursing Authorities are requested to accept the duly verified Life Certificates submitted through messenger/ post and should not insist upon the physical appearance of the Pensioners/ Family Pensioners in the Bank branches/ Treasuries.
As per West Bengal Treasury Rule the Pensioners/ Family Pensioners are required to submit Life Certificates duly verified by authorized persons in the month of November every year to the pension disbursing Bank/ Treasuries.
Any hawker who is a permanent resident of West Bengal, who is in extreme distress due to loss of business/ livelihood opportunities due to outbreak of Corona Virus (COVID-19) will be eligible for the assistance.
Governor is pleased to issue a fresh guidelines for reimbursement towards the cost of any IPD treatment including COVID-19 cases in the following manner for the benefit of members enrolled under West Bengal Health Scheme.
In order to provide some relief to labourer/ daily wage earner/ worker, who is in extreme distress, due to the outbreak of Corona Virus (COVID-19), the Governor is pleased to introduce a new scheme called “Prachesta” (প্রচেষ্টা).
