State Govt. may, by general or special order, exempt from the purview of the Act a school or certain schools established and administered by charitable organisation.
In case where a school has both Primary and Secondary section, there will be no lottery for students already admitted in the primary section. In case there are any excess seats only then there may be a lottery at class-V for filling up the additional seats.

A State Government employee whose revised emoluments on 31.03.2012 exceeded Rs. 22,000/- p.m. but did not exceed Rs. 30,000/- p.m. may be granted an advance upto a maximum of Rs. 2,000/- only.
State Government employees whose revised emoluments did not exceed Rs. 22,000/- per month as on 31.03.2012 will be entitled to ad-hoc bonus at the rate of Rs. 2,500/- per head.
