Governor is pleased to grant “ON DUTY” to the teachers of Schools/ Madrasahs, who are pursuing B. Ed. Course through Open and distance Learning (ODL) mode conducted by Netaji Subash Open University, for their attending personal contact programme (PCP) and other academic programmes.
Handing over affairs of the Village Education Committee (VEC) by the administrator appointed vide Memo Nos. 770-SE(EE)/10M-177/2013 dated 16/08/2013 and 707-SE(EE)/10M-177/2013, dated 18/07/2013 for Ward Education Committee (WEC) and VEC respectively.
A High Level Task Force was constituted under the chairmanship of Dr. Tridib Banerjee towards facilitation of activities of the Department in reduction of Infant/Maternal Mortality of the state. After having made some substantial improvement in Facility Based newborn Care, it seems necessary to improve the facility based maternal care also. An empowered Committee called ‘Obstetrics Mentor Group’ was constituted as per the recommendation of High Level Task force. This ‘Obstetrics Mentor Group’ [OBGMG] is composed of Faculties from different state-run Medical colleges/ Teaching institutions.
An incumbent shall be eligible for General Transfer only if he/she is confirmed in service and completed 5 (five) years of satisfactory service in that particular school from which he/she seeks General Transfer.
The retired College / School teachers with Hons/ PG qualification and below 64 years of age may apply seeking engagement as Part Time Teacher in HS Schools. The Period of engagement should be upto 180 days or until regular teachers join the school which ever is earlier.
As there are number of vacancies occurred due to retirement of teachers and up-gradation of Secondary Schools to Higher Secondary Schools and as the School Service Commission could not complete the process for recruitment of teachers the education in the Higher Secondary classes are badly hampered.
