  • Principles and Procedures of Appointment on Compassionate Ground

    Governor has been pleased to lay down the following principles and procedures to be followed in dealing with the issue of appointment on compassionate ground to the dependants of employees who die-in-harness, or who retire prematurely on being declared permanently incapacitated.

    Vote-on-Account Budget of the State Government for the first four months of 2014-2015 has been passed by the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. Copies of the West Bengal Appropriation (Vote-on-Account) Act, 2014 have been forwarded to the Administrative Departments.

  • Delegation of Financial Power to 15 Departments

    The Administrative Departments will be required to take a written confirmation direct from the Finance Department, Budget Branch (Group-N) that the Central Share has been credited to the State Exchequer.

  • Manuals under RTI in Law Department, West Bengal

    Any of the Officers below the rank of the Secretary can draw disciplinary proceeding against the offending Employee and to submit his report to the Secretary for consideration. The Secretary in his turn is authorized to punish the offending employee if the charge is substantiated beyond doubt.

  • Submission of Hard Copy of EMD in case of e-Tender

    Government has decided to relax the provision of submission of hard copy of the original EMD documents to the tender inviting authority before financial evaluations of bids in case of e-tender.

  • Restructuring of Public Works Department

    To improve the functional efficiency, total working jurisdiction of Public Works Department over the state will be split in three zones namely North Zone, West Zone and South Zone headed by Chief Engineers.

  • Introduction of Integrated Financial Management System, IFMS

    In the first phase, e-Bantan will be implemented, tentatively from 1st April 2014. Allotment /release of fund including Budgetary allocation to the Administrative Departments shall be uploaded from time to time by the Finance Department in e-Bantan.

  • Reorganizing Electrical and Mechanical Circles under PWD

    Implement the concept of three zones namely North Zone, West Zone and South Zone under Public Works Department for better supervision and monitoring of the projects spreading all over the different districts of the state.
