West Bengal Government Notification
Promotion and regulation of Higher Education and Cultural development including Technical or specialized education in the State Universities and Colleges.
State Government in the Higher Education Department has decided to prescribe the following qualifications and norms for recruitment to the post of Principal in Government-aided/ affiliated Degree Colleges.
(i) Leaves like casual leave, medical leave, maternity leave, study leave and (ii) Swasthya Sathi Scheme which had earlier been enjoyed by the erstwhile Government approved Part Time Teachers, Contractual Whole Time Teachers.
Revision of Pay and Allowances for the (i) Non-teaching employees of state aided Non. Govt. Colleges including erstwhile sponsored colleges and Day students’ Homes employees. (ii) Employees of the West Bengal College Service Commission.
Revision of pay for Faculties including Principals and Librarians of a) Cooch Behar Government Engineering College, b) Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology, Kolkata, c) Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology, Kolkata, d) Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Berhampur, e) Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Serampur, f) Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, g) Kalyani Government Engineering College h) Ramkrishna Mahato Government Engineering College, Purulia.
To revamping existing education system starting from pre-primary to higher education level in West Bengal to ensure higher standard of education to all students, with particular focus on marginalized, disadvantaged and under-represented groups;
Medical benefits to the serving Teachers including Librarians and Graduate Laboratory Instructors of Government-aided Colleges and serving Teachers and Officers of State aided Universities.
West Bengal Colleges (Transfer of Employees) Rules, 2017 for regulating transfer of employees of Government aided colleges in West Bengal.
Applicability of the provisions of the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standard and Procedure for award of M. Phil/ Ph. D Degree) Regulations, 2016.
Grant of Ad-hoc bonus to the regular employees of the State-aided Universities/ State Aided Non-Government Educational Institutions and other sponsored/ aided organizations as well as whole time approved employees of the Hostel/ Mess attached to the Non-Govt. Educational Institutions and other sponsored/ aided organizations/ Employees of Statutory bodies/ Local bodies including approved staff of Day Students’ Home for the year 2024-2025.
Benefit of Paternity-cum-Child Care Leave for a maximum period of 30 days has been extended to the regular male employees of the educational institutions etc.
