Revision of pension/ family pension of Pre-01.01.2016 Pensioners/ Family Pensioners in respect of Teaching Staff and equivalent category of employees of State aided Non-Government Colleges including erstwhile Sponsored Colleges.

Prohibition of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions of West Bengal
To prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging including any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.

Reservation in Admission to Higher Educational Institutions
For OBC-A (10%) and OBC-B (7%) seats, implementation will be done over a six year period and the exercise has already commenced from the Academic year 2014-15.

West Bengal State Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Rules, 2013
The reservation norms shall apply on and from the Academic Session 2014-15 to all Universities, Government colleges, colleges and other institutions receiving aid from the State Government.

Modification in Reservation Rules of EWS in Admission
The District Magistrate and the District Reservation Commissioner shall be the authority in respect of Higher Educational Institutions within their administrative jurisdiction for approval of filling up of the unfilled reserved seats for Economically Weaker Sections.

Centralised Admission Portal shall go live for admission to the undergraduate courses in the 460 Colleges across the State of West Bengal for the academic session 2025-26.

Upper Age Limit for Assistant Professors and Librarians
Upper age limit for direct recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professors and Librarians in Government and Government-aided colleges and State-aided Universities is enhanced from 37 years to 40 years.
